Your 25kW solar system charges your 3 sonnen batteries (60 kWh) throughout the day instead of sending excess energy to the grid for pennies.

During peak demand — think summer afternoons in Houston — CenterPoint draws stored energy from homes in the VPP network instead of firing up expensive peaker plants.

You get a locked-in lower rate
In exchange for participating, you lock in a $0.12 flat grid rate and a starting payment of $147/mo. CenterPoint pays for the grid access. You keep the savings.
